FREDERIQUE LEBELLEY has worked as a writer and journalist since 1969. Her collaborations with Le Nouvel Observateur, her participation in creating the first French ecological magazine Le Sauvage, have earned her the respect of her peers.
From 1977 until 1989, Frederique worked on a number of programmes for the French broadcaster RTL: on the current affairs programme Etrange, and later as a judicial reporter.
Having left RTL to concentrate on her writing, Frederique Lebelley scored success with a number of books: La Demente Religieuse; a biography of Marguerite Duras, Duras ou le poids d'une plume; and Tete a Tete - interviews with death-row prisoners. She has won acclaim for Profession de Foi, a series of portraits of French celebrities who integrate a spiritual dimension into their everyday lives.
Walking the Path is the account of an experience Frederique has described as the most powerful of her life: her time around H.H Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, since their first meeting in 1995.
