Class, State and Struggle in Nepal

The work combines the comparative approach of the ethnographer, the passion of the partisan, the critical rigour of the theoretician and the intimacy of living in a Nepali extended family to analyse the democratic transition in Nepal within the wider context of the development of South Asian class structures and state institutions.
