Dispatched by his boss to Arse, a village in north India, to solve\nthe mystery of a road scam, Juneja discovers that village life is far from being a bed of roses and that the archetypal village simpleton is hard to find. In fact, the dusty roads of the village lead to a mystery darker than he could ever imagine; feudal India and ignorant India seem to still inhabit a space they have inhabited for centuries. A rape in the village, a strange gay couple and a politically connected village aristocrat add to the mystery. Many questions arise, though Juneja seeks the answers to none. On the eve of Dussehra, he finally sets forth to fight his own battle\nbetween Good and Evil.
