This a guide book for the whole Annapurna region: Annapurna Circuit from Besisahar to Tatopani, including the side treks to Naar Phu and Tilicho lake, and many treks south of Annapurna like Poon hill, Khopra Danda, ABC = Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal trek. With the building of roads in the wonderful trekking area many people thought all the magic would have been destroyed. But from 2011 on, the two authors explored the terrain in five long journeys to find side trails avoiding the road. The found many and marked them together with ACAP. These trails are now called NATT = Natural Annapurna Trekking trails. These trails not only avoid the road but offer splendid views of the mountain in pure nature and pass often interesting villages. Therefore the Annapurna region is again one of the best trekking areas of Nepal and the world. The last journey of the authors was in March 2016 and the book was completely updated. Most guide books will describe a schedule with day 1, day to etc. but nowadays the Annapurna region is more a complex web of many trails and you can choose and plan according to time and interests your very own and ideal personal combination. One can now avoid most of the road on the Manang side and even trek from Jomsom to Tatopani completely on nice NATT trails with only touching the road on the last 400 m :-). But beside the main trails this book will recommend you a lot of interesting side trails and villages worth visiting so that you will enjoy even more your journey. With this book we recommend the new edition map NA 503 Annapurna circuit 1:125.000 of Himalaya Map house which will be available in SEP. 2016 and has been updated with the GPS data of the authors.
