In 2017, more Nepalis are encouraged to travel inside Nepal itself, as the government
declared “Ghumphir Barsha” or ‘travel year,’ 2016/17 (Nepali Year B.S. 2073) goes into
full fl ow. And yet, 2017 according to the Ministry of Finance, will see double fi gure infl ation
rates (11.1%), hence, an increase in spending all round. Parting with the negatives and taking
the positives into the new year, we have made this compilation of data and information in an
attempt to encompass and present an outline of what occurred globally and in Nepal. As always,
let us move forward for a better year.
