I had mix feelings through out the book but now when I finished it I know it is something else , It shook me from the core. Its my first time reading any work from Elizabeth Gilbert and I have to say I loved her writing style so much. I can sense her depthness in her writing and her knowledge about the state of WW 2 and fashion designing, about many thing so to speak . You will feel more knowledgeable after finishing it. However its not your regular novel with a single story plot from how I see it , its a saga of Vivian's experience throughout her life.
Now the character development at its best. I have to say I loved all of the characters apart from VIVIAN's parents of course. I remember at first not liking Vivian but somehow she grew on me. And like she said our certain faults 'means nothing' and it doesn't decide which type of person we are ,that's what I feel about Vivian. She's certainly not our 'good girl' but one can't help but love her at the end.
Alas , this book also made me question about some of my believes and on myself. If you're a close minded person then this novel will trigger you at some point but all this novel teaches us that to accept everyone as they are.
I also suggest girls to read this before their 20s .It will teach them a lot about life and the way of the world. I totally loved this book . It's something special to me.
