ICYMI, Lord Voldemort tweeted J.K. Rowling telling her to "stay safe" during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Portuguese Lord Voldemort fan account — has edited its Twitter picture to show the "Harry Potter" villain now wearing a mask.

So in light of the situation, we decided to compile some influential life lessons tucked into the pages of the beloved book series that can help guide us through the problems that we're facing out here in the Muggle world.

Whether you're a muggle, a squib, a half-blood, pure-blood, these lines will hit the spot!

• "Time will not slow down when something unpleasant lies ahead."

As Harry rides the Hogwarts Express on his journey back from school after his fourth year and the dire Triwizard Tournament, he dreads disembarking from the train, having to say goodbye to his friends, and returning to the drabness that is the Dursley's home and the Muggle world.

He realizes that whether we must face the consequences of our own poor choices, an unpleasant task or the impending death of a loved one, we must be prepared for the inevitable.

The bulk of Luna's possessions are lost or stolen during her fifth year at Hogwarts, and Harry catches her searching for her things while the feast marking the end of the school year rages on in the Great Hall. Harry inquires why she isn't attending, and then offers to help Luna find her stuff. She declines his offer, however, and gifts Harry with wisdom about the meaninglessness of worldly possessions and the assurance that everything always turns out right in the end.

It is difficult to fight back, especially when against specific circumstances. It would be so easy to just lay down and not fight back. However, that is the easy way and we have to be brave and look at injustice for what it is and decide to combat it. We should always remember that we are not alone in the fight.

• "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

Dumbledore shares these words when he's speaking to the students at the beginning of Harry's third year at Hogwarts after informing them of what's happening and that the Dementors are present at the school.

It's a reminder to those assembled that hope is never lost in dark times. For example, the Dementors may feed on happiness but resisting them just requires concentrating on a happy memory to cast the Patronus charm. Goodness and happiness can never be eliminated no matter how bad things are.

Similarly, we too just have to remember and not let the darkness overwhelm us

Dumbledore addresses the school and the visitors from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang after the loss of Cedric at the Triwizard Tournament in The Goblet of Fire novel. He's honest about how Cedric died and about the return of Voldemort. Despite how dreadful and scary this news is, however, the headmaster offers these hopeful words. He highlights how they are stronger when they stand together and then reiterates how their differences don't matter and they should never let those get between them.

In the same manner, at times like these, it is especially important for all of us to be united regardless of our differences and work into combating our common enemy.
